Anyone who stays in Bayahibe or in Punta Cana should take a Seavis tour, you can buy from puntacanaexcursions.com, these are awesome. Awesome staff and great prices, this is exactly what makes the day. The customer care prior to the tour is likewise outstanding, booking online became a breeze and the interaction with the Seavis employees went really seamless.
We made the whale watching excursion from Miches. The fare takes you in the countyside over the hills to the small village of Miches. During the transfer of approximately 2 hours the staff provides great details about the life of the local people. Seavis has a whale accommodation in Miches and we did get snacks ahead of boarding the whale vessel. Almost immediately after we left the habor we got a few whales. We observed them for a while and went to search for some others. Altogether we got approximately 20 different ones. On arrival back in the accommodation they served a tasty lunch. It was a combination between Dominican and German dishes and we never had this type of good meal. En route back to the resort we stopped at several interesting places, The tour guide was great fun and told interesting facts. All and all it turned out an excellent tour and it was wonderful to see the whales nearby. And for what they presented the outing was inexpensive, we paid only us$135.
The whole day was effectively planned. They offer the tour in several languages, so be sure you pick the correct day. Many excursions to the island are with a catamaran, I am happy we decided the speedboat excursion, we saw much more. The day is very comprehensive: beverages, a nice meal and treats are provided, When you travel from Punta Cana you have to wake up early, but don't worry. It really is more than worth it.
